Design

The Honor Magic 6 Pro builds on the design of the Magic 5 Pro. It measures 162.5 mm by 75.8 mm by 8.9 mm and has a 6.8-inch screen, perfect for those who like bigger displays.

Despite its large size, it weighs only 225g, which is lighter than the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (232g). The phone features a stylish “Star Wheel” camera module, giving it a unique look and a comfortable grip.

Display

The Honor Magic 6 Pro has a 6.8-inch OLED display with curved edges that stand out from regular flat-edged phones. It offers a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and a sharp 1280 by 2800 pixels resolution.

The screen uses Honor’s Circadian Night Display technology to filter blue light, helping you sleep better, and has a high 4,320Hz PWM dimming rate to reduce eye strain. The display is clear and vibrant, with a peak HDR brightness of 5,000 nits in special conditions and around 1,600 nits in everyday use.

Protected by Honor’s NanoCrystal Shield, the screen is said to be 10 times stronger than regular glass, ensuring it can handle daily wear and tear.

Performances

The Honor Magic 6 Pro runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s 4 nm chipset, offering fast and efficient performance, paired with the Adreno 750 GPU.

With 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, it provides smooth multitasking and plenty of space for apps and media. The phone operates on Honor’s Magic OS 8.0, based on Android 14, featuring unique tools like Magic Capsule for quick control of music, timers, notifications, and calls, and Magic Portal for easy app switching with a single swipe.

The Magic 6 Pro has five years of security upgrades and four years of Android updates, despite the lack of generative AI tools.

Cameras

The Honor Magic 6 Pro boasts a powerful camera system. It features a 50MP wide lens with an adjustable aperture (f/1.4-2.0) that adapts to different lighting conditions. The 180MP periscope telephoto lens (f/2.6) provides 2.5x optical zoom and 5x lossless zoom. Additionally, there’s a 50MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.0) and a 50MP front camera.

The rear cameras can record 4K video at up to 60 fps, while the front camera supports 4K video recording at 30 fps.

Battery and Charger

The Honor Magic 6 Pro comes with a 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery, providing about a day and a half of casual use. It supports 80W wired and 66W wireless charging, although a charger is not included in the box.

Honor claims the phone can fully charge in 40 minutes, which has been confirmed by tests. It took 15 minutes to reach 36%, 30 minutes to reach 70%, and 46 minutes to get a full charge when using a 100W charger. While it is marginally slower than the Xiaomi 14 and OnePlus 12R, this charging speed is faster than the iPhone 15 and Samsung Galaxy S24 models.Using lower-wattage chargers will result in slower charging times
