Poland’s Iga Swiatek has once again proven her dominance at the French Open, defeating Italy’s Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 6-1 in the final to claim her third consecutive Roland Garros title. This victory marks Swiatek’s fourth Roland Garros singles title and her fifth Grand Slam win overall, solidifying her status as the world No. 1 at just 23 years old.
Swiatek’s impressive performance in the final, completed in just 68 minutes, extends her winning streak at Roland Garros to 21 matches. Her last loss in Paris was in the 2021 quarter-finals against Maria Sakkari. Although Paolini initially posed a challenge by breaking Swiatek’s serve for a 2-1 lead, Swiatek quickly regained control, winning five consecutive games to secure the first set in 34 minutes.
The second set saw Swiatek continue her dominance, outplaying the 28-year-old Italian to secure her 35th match win on Paris clay. Swiatek remains undefeated in Grand Slam finals, with her other major victory coming at the 2022 US Open.
